Episode 67: White Privilege and the COVID Vaccines
Available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and iHeartRadio.
In this episode, we discuss the last-minute changes to Trump’s legal team for his upcoming Senate trial, Rihanna calling out Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, the weakened stimulus plan endorsed by a group of ten moderate Republican Senators, and the Philly Fighting COVID fiasco in which the City of Philadelphia partnered with an unproven nonprofit run by Andrei Doroshin, a 22-year old Drexel University grad student, for COVID vaccine distribution instead of the more established Black Doctors Consortium. Then, we give our take on the Wendy Williams movie and documentary. We also celebrate the return of the ‘Job Openings’ segment with a discussion about the NYC SoulCycle instructor who claimed she was an educator to get early access to the COVID vaccine and the incredibly racist and profane conversation that led to the resignation of Hamilton, GA Police Chief Gene Almond’s and the firing of Hamilton, GA Officer John Brooks.
