Episode 14: Can a Woman Really Be President?
Available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and iHeartRadio.
In our most political episode yet, we discuss the conversation that allegedly took place between Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren in 2018 in which Sen. Sanders reportedly expressed disbelief in a woman's ability to be President of the United States. We also talk about the intersection between faith and sexism that fuels much of the underestimation of the capabilities of women in today's society. While we were recording this episode, we found out about the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others. Our reaction and the subsequent conversation about the importance of not taking life for granted make up the remainder of this episode.
